Part 1 – Create a Moodle account with your email

1. Go to your Moodle site’s main login page (moodle.bostoninstitute.nsw.edu.au).

2. On the login screen, click Create new account or Sign up.

Fill in the registration form with your details:

  • Username (you choose it)
  • Password
  • First name and last name
  • Email address (your own email, which you can access)
  • Any other required fields marked with *

3. Click Create my new account (or similar button).

4. Check your email inbox for a message from the Moodle site (also check spam/junk).

5. Open the email and click the confirmation link to activate your account.

Part 2 – Self‑enrol in the course

For a short period of time you will have access to all courses, so pick and choose as you like, or talk to your teacher

Below is a guide that will help you with the process:

  • On the course page, click the Enrol me or Enrol me in this course button.
  • If an enrolment key (password) is required, enter the key your teacher gave you, then click Enrol me again.
  • You should now see the course content (topics, activities, resources). This means you are successfully enrolled.

Quick troubleshooting 

  • If you do not see “Create new account” on the login page, email‑based self‑registration is probably turned off and you need an account created by an administrator.
  • If you click the email link and it says it is invalid or expired, start again from the login page and re‑register, then wait for a fresh confirmation email.
  • If the course will not let you in and keeps asking for an enrollment key, confirm the exact key (including capital letters) with your teacher.”
